About Emelie
Emelie Östergren (B. 1982) educated at Konstfack Collage of art and crafts. Her comics and illustrations has been published in books, anthologies, publications in Sweden and abroud. With a style that can be discribed as avant garde and exprimental with element of fantasy and surrealism.
The book Evil Dress (2009) was Emelies debute and after this she published several graphic novels and children’s book.
She was choosen to be in the White Ravens and was one of 31 illustrators representing Sweden on the Children’s Book Fair in Bolonga, Italy, 2013.
In 2018 she debuted as a play writer with the theatreplay ”Akta dig för Rödluvan” (Beware of the Red Riding Hood) at Örebro city theatre.
